FS Polarstern returning to Bremerhaven | MOSAiC-Expedition

Nach über einem Jahr in der zentralen Arktis kehrte das Forschungsschiff Polarstern am heutigen Montag, den 12. Oktober, in seinen Heimathafen Bremerhaven zurück. Begleitet von einer Begrüßungsflotte entgegenkommender Schiffe lief es mit dem Morgenhochwasser gegen 9:00 Uhr über die Nordschleuse ein. CHIMBOVISION setzte die technische Umsetzung des Live Streamings in Kooperation mit der Agentur Aheads um und war selbst mit der Kamera vor Ort.

After more than a year in the Central Arctic, this Monday, 12 October, the research icebreaker Polarstern returned to her homeport in Bremerhaven. Accompanied by a ‘welcome committee’ of ships that came to greet, the ship entered the North Lock with the morning high tide, at ca. 9:00 am. CHIMBOVISION was in charge of  the technical implementation of the live streaming in cooperation with the agency Aheads and covered the event with our live cameras.
